Flat Creek is a cooperating Southern Baptist Church serving the Lynchburg community since 1831.  The gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is the compelling reason that God is at work in this world. God has communicated to us by the living word, Jesus Christ, and through His written word, the Holy Scriptures. The Bible is given so that we may come to the knowledge of our sin and experience sin's forgiveness in Christ Jesus.  Only then can we relish the true, magnificent nature of an infinite God.

God's people are to Think, learning from the Bible how to engage the mind of Christ. God's people are to Work, serving as disciples of the great Servant, God's Son. God's people are to Worship Jesus Christ in the grace of obedience.

Flat Creek is also associated with the Lynchburg Baptist Association.  Flat Creek is also 9 Marks church and subscribes to the Gospel Coalition. We are listed on 9marks.org and thegospelcoalition.org .

Flat Creek Baptist Church is a family…an incomparable school of life learning to magnify the grace and majesty of our Lord Jesus Christ, in everything we do.

Jude 1:24-25 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.
